We are committed to implementing sustainable practices wherever possible, which is why we proactively promote environmentally responsible purchasing, waste carriage and fleet management.
At Mega Glass, 95% of our glass waste is recycled through SGGUK, resulting in a reduction of 3.75 tonnes of CO2 going into the atmosphere and prevention of 12.5 tonnes of cullet going to landfill every month. Working with Saint Gobain, Mega Glass is contributing toward Saint Gobain’s goals of using 50% cullet in their manufacture of glass by 2025 and having net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
25% of the Mega Glass fleet of delivery vehicles are fully electric and the intention is for this to be a minimum of 50% by the end of 2025.
All our glass is purchased through reputable manufacturers and comes with ISO 14001 Environmental management certification and/or Environmental Product Declaration and/or cradle-to-grave certification.
We deliver over 60% of glass manufactured using our in-house fleet of vans. Our fleet is fully FORS accredited so ensuring efficiency of fuel consumption, lack of engine idling, driven at optimum speed for fuel efficiency and are part of our modus operandi.
